Welcome to RowanGSBS

The Graduate School of Biomedical Science is located on Rowan University's Stratford, NJ campus, just outside of Philadelphia, and is South Jersey's premier center for biomedical research. Rowan University is classified as a Carnegie R2 institution, a designation shared by fewer than four percent of American colleges and universities. In addition to our Carnegie classification, we also benefit from a collaborative relationship and linkage with nationally-ranked Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. Our state-of-the-art research facilities and classrooms prepare scientists and aspiring medical professionals to make critical contributions in anatomical sciences, biomedical sciences, histopathology, molecular cell biology & neuroscience and molecular pathology & immunology. Our offerings also include a dual physician-scientist (DO/PhD) degree in molecular cell biology & neuroscience.

"Since graduating with my MS in Histopathology, I've leveraged my degree to work in one of the country's top Mohs histology labs. The support of faculty and the linkage program with Rowan-Virtua SOM has also reawakened my dream of becoming a physician."

Lianne Adolphe
