International Applicants

RowanGSBS is excited to have future scientists from around the world join us. We have a diverse student body and hope you will consider becoming part of our community of innovative thinkers.

We do not recommend international students apply to the Master of Science in Molecular Pathology and Immunology program. The program requires students to travel between our campuses, which are a distance away from one another.

An exception can be made if:

  • You own an automobile.
  • Have a valid USA driver's license at the time of arrival to the United States.
If you are considering applying to Rowan University, please review the additional admissions requirements
Apply now

Step 1: Online Application

Submit a completed online application and the necessary application requirements.

Step 2: Credential Evaluation

If your credentials are from a foreign institution you must have those credentials assessed by a NACES approved evaluation agency. The evaluation must indicate that you have earned the equivalent of at least a U.S. Bachelor’s degree

Step 3: Proof of English Language Proficiency

International applicants are required to submit official copies of successful scores from either the TOEFL or IELTS. Only exams taken within the past two years will be accepted.

The TOEFL/IELTS score requirement is waived if you meet at least one of the exemptions below:

  1. You are transferring from a U.S. institution with at least 24 earned credits at that institution. This does not include basic skills courses.
  2. You have completed Rowan’s Intensive English Language Program (IELP) within the past two years before the semester’s start date.
  3. Your credential evaluation states that you have earned the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree and that the language of instruction was English.
  4. You graduated from a school in a country where English is the prevailing language (United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand), even if the credential evaluation fails to state the language of instruction.

Step 4: Application Review

You will receive weekly updates on your application and if there are missing items. Once your application is completed, it will be ready to be reviewed by the admissions committee.

If you are accepted, you will receive an offer letter. Please mail your offer letter with the admissions deposit if you choose to enroll (and we hope you do)!

After you have confirmed your enrollment, please visit the Rowan International Center for steps on obtaining your visa and preparations for your arrival in the USA!
